Fight for Life - The Mario Abraham Torres Jr. Foundation, was created in honor of Mario Abraham Torres Jr., my forever 16 year old son, whose life was tragically cut short due to a traumatic brain injury sustained in boxing. Our mission is to protect fighters, educate communities, and prevent future losses through awareness, education, and resources for combat athletes.

We are at the beginning of an important journey - and we need passionate committed people to stand with us. As a newly incorporated nonprofit in the State of Arizona, recognized by both the IRS and the State of Arizona , we are now building our very first Board of Directors. This is the "ground floor" stage and as board members you will be a part of shaping the organization as it grows into full 501(c)(3) status.

Board members will play a vital role in:

• Helping guide the vision and direction of the foundation

• Providing oversight and accountability to ensure our mission is fulfilled

• Sharing their skills, connections, and passion to expand our impact

• Supporting outreach, fundraising, and community partnerships

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Passionate about protecting fighters and preventing brain injuries

• Experienced in nonprofit work, healthcare, education, sports, law, finance, or community leadership - or simply driven to make a difference

• Team players who are ready to commit their time, talents, and energy to a cause that matters
