Fight for Life was founded in loving memory of Mario Abraham Torres Jr., a passionate young boxer whose life was tragically cut short due to a traumatic brain injury sustained during a match. Abraham's dedication, courage, and love for the sport continue to inspire us every day.
Our mission is to honor his legacy by working to prevent, treat, and raise awareness about traumatic brain injuries (TBI) in combat sports and beyond. through education, advocacy, and community support, Fight for Life strives to ensure that fighters and athletes have the knowledge, resources, and care they need to protect their health and their futures.
We believe that no family should have to experience the devastating loss we endured. that is why we are committed to:
Educating athletes, trainers and families about brain injury prevention and safety in combat sports.
Supporting access to medical care and research that advances treatment and protection against TBIs.
Building a community of awareness and advocacy so that athletes can pursue their passions without sacrificing their well-being.
